Is your church only open to families?

No, we welcome everyone regardless of family status. In line with the Bible, when we say "family" we are referring to biologic/adopted as well as spiritual families. All believers are brothers and sisters in Christ, and all are welcome.

Why family-integrated worship?

We believe it is important for families to be together in church. This builds strong, Godly family relationships that last a lifetime and beyond. We're not worried about a few wiggles or giggles in church.

How did the church start?

We started as one family worshiping at home in August, 2025. Now we are a small gathering in Athens and Madison, AL, seeking to worship God as families

What is your stance on the Bible?

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority in all matters.

Visiting & Services

When and where do your services take place?

We gather every Sunday at 10:30 AM. As a home church, our meeting locations rotate between member homes in Athens and Madison, AL. Please contact us for this week's specific address.

What should I expect during a typical service?

Our services are simple and reflective of the early church. You can expect corporate worship through music, Biblical teaching, and communion. We often share a fellowship meal together following the service.

How should I dress when visiting?

We encourage casual attire. We want you to feel welcome, comfortable, and focused on Jesus.

Is childcare provided during the service?

Our services are designed for all ages. We value family-integrated worship, meaning children of all ages stay with their parents during the service.

How can I start volunteering?

We encourage everyone to use their gifts. Whether it's hosting, car repairs, or something else, there's a place for you! Simply reach out to find where you can best serve our family.

Involvement

Are there mid-week interactions?

We regularly communicate with one another through the week. From organic and authentic text messages to practical hands-on help with a project, we aim to encourage one other through the week.

Are there activities for children?

Yes. We have used Sunday afternoons to teach kids practical skills, hold focused discussions on the sermon, and do age-appropriate crafts. These activities are designed to create an enjoyable time for kids

What is a home church?

Our services are held in our homes, just like the early church in Acts. We worship, teach from the Bible, take communion, and share a meal together. We practice all the core Biblical elements of a church and it all occurs in our homes. Where two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, He shows up. Even in our living room.

What is your Sunday service like?

Before the service, we have a time of encouraging fellowship over coffee and snacks. The service itself begins with a time of worship and prayer, followed by a message from the Bible. Each service includes a time of communion as we remember Jesus, and then closes with one more closing song. After the service, we enjoy a meal together.

Can kids participate in your services?

Yes! We welcome all ages in our Sunday service - from newborn to grandparents. We believe it is important for families to worship together. Our services are specifically designed to be engaging for kids while pointing all ages to Jesus. It's ok if there's a few wiggles or questions from kids since that's just real life. It's a privilege to teach littles about God.

Who does the teaching?

Chris Cummings and Paul Milton rotate teaching each Sunday.

What is a "family church"?

We want to help build up Godly families. From story of Abraham to the book of Ephesians, the Bible emphasizes the importance of parents training their children in the Lord (Gen 18:19, Eph 6:4). We specifically desire to help build strong family relationships that encourage one another in the Lord, that train children in Godly living, and that will last for a lifetime and into eternity.
